Tom graduated with a degree in physiotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire in 2005. He later returned to Hertfordshire and gained a Masters degree in sport and exercise rehabilitation. He has worked in the NHS, private practice and elite sport. Tom spent two years working with a premiership rugby teams academy and is a contracted physio to England hockey working with their International age group athletes.
Tom has extensive experience of working with children and adolescents with musculoskeletal problems. Tom has been involved in multiple sports from a young age, playing and coaching sports across three continents. He uses this experience to help better understand his clients needs and therefore guiding them back to recovery. Tom's focus is very much on functional rehabilitation, matching the clients rehabilitation to the specific demands of the activities they participate in. He uses a combination on manual therapy, acupuncture, soft tissue techniques and taping alongside exercise to accomplish this. Tom is also a senior teaching fellow on the advanced physiotherapy post graduate masters program at UCL.
Tom has extensive experience of seeing clients of all ages with general and sporting musculoskeletal problems. Tom's specialism is in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with musculoskeletal complaints. He also has extensive knowledge and experience of working with individuals with hypermobility (excessively mobile joints) and lower limb biomechanical problems.
