I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in knee and hip replacement surgery, knee surgery for injuries including meniscal tears and cruciate ligament ruptures, and cartilage transplantation. I am passionate about delivering patient care and use the latest techniques and technology to ensure the best outcome. I recently completed the first knee replacement in Europe using the Navio™ Robot assisted surgery.
I am based at the internationally renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, the UK's premier specialist orthopaedic hospital. I was appointed as a Consultant to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in 2003. Prior to taking up the appointment I underwent Specialist Fellowship training in hip and knee surgery at Harvard, in Boston USA.
I continue to have a keen academic interest and publish regularly in peer review journals. I am also an enthusiastic teacher and am regularly invited to speak on my areas of expertise both at national and international orthopaedic meetings. I run regular courses a year at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital training junior surgeons in various techniques of hip and knee surgery.
My dedication and expertise have recently been recognised as I was listed as one of the top knee replacement surgeons in the country in The Daily Mail 'The Good Doctors Guide'.
