Mr Gillespie travels regularly throughout Europe to visit and operate with leading surgeons in order to keep up to date with the latest improvements in surgical techniques, including Paris, Strasbourg, Lyon and Barcelona in the last three years. He was the clinical governance lead for the plastic surgery department in Addenbrooke's Hospital for four years and hence has a formal role as well as professional responsibility for the safety and quality of surgery.
