Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Nicholas Rhodes at Spire include:
I was educated at Leeds Grammar School before graduating in both Medicine (MBChB) and Dental Surgery (BDS) from the Universities of Leeds and Liverpool respectively. I initially trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and was made a Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons at the Royal College of Surgeons (FFD RCSI). I went on to complete my training in general surgery within designated accredited training posts in the UK.
I successfully passed the Royal College examinations and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland in 2002 (FRCSI). I then went on to specialise in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery undertaking my Higher Surgical Training in the Yorkshire Region. I passed the Intercollegiate Specialty examination in Plastic Surgery in 2005 (FRCS)(Plast.).
My training in Plastic surgery includes extensive experience in Cosmetic Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery. I gained my Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) and was entered onto the General Medical Council, (GMC), Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery in April 2006, making me eligible to be appointed as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon.
I was appointed as a Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Bradford Royal Infirmary and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary in 2007. My NHS work is mainly concerned with surgery to the breast particularly micro-surgical reconstruction following cancer.
I have been trained in some of the newer techniques available in cosmetic surgery such as Smart Lipo and Macrolane injection for body contour enhancement. I was in the first wave of surgeons to be trained and use the Allergan computerised Bio Dimensional analysis system for breast implant selection.
