I am a Consultant Gynaecologist with experience in minimal access surgery, gynaecological cancer, colposcopy, menstrual disorders, menopause, reproductive medicine and pelvic floor repair. I specialise in general gynaecology with specific interest in gynaecological cancer, colposcopy, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy surgery. I believe in patient centred care and to keep women well informed of different options as a cornerstone for successful outcome.I graduated from University of Baghdad (MBChB) in 1999. I completed postgraduate specialty training in Iraq (DOG, FIBMS, FABOG). I was awarded fellowship in Minimal Access surgery by the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons and society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons in 2009.I obtained Royal college membership (MRCOG) in 2011 and Diploma of Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health (DFSRH) in 2015. I further trained in obstetrics and gynaecology in Oxford deanery and obtained Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) in 2016. I completed advanced specialty training in Gynaecology Oncology and Labour ward Practice in 2016. I am a certified colposcopy practitioner and trainer by BSCCP.I was appointed by Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Clinical lead for Gynaecology Oncology Services in 2018.I am now the clinical lead for cancer unit, rapid access service and enhanced recovery pathway at Blackpool Teaching hospitals NHS Foundation TrustI am part 3 MRCOG examiner.
