I strive to provide highly specialist care to adults and children with complex spinal conditions. I specialise in spinal surgery for back and neck pain, and complex spinal deformity in adults and children.
I undertook specialist fellowship training at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, and The Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, Australia. I currently work at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital and Birmingham Children's Hospital.
I have had training and experience with advanced cutting-edge technologies such as robots and navigation, enabling safe, effective and life-transforming care for my patients.
I am widely published in many areas of cutting edge spinal research and am a peer reviewer for many leading international scientific journals. I represented the European Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (EPOS) in South America, and the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) in Europe.
I lead the Health Leadership module for Aston Medical School, and previously served as a Standing Member on the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) Quality Standards Committee advising on national health policy.
