I am a graduate of both Cambridge and Oxford and my special interest is rhinology (this includes rhinoplasty and sinus surgery) and endoscopic surgery of the throat. I also work in multi-disciplinary clinics with audiologists and with chest physicians for allergies and snoring.
I undertook my training at Bart's, The Royal Marsden and Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospitals, before becoming senior registrar in Bristol. I was also a lecturer in head and neck surgery in Auckland, New Zealand.

Mr Porter is married with three children and his wife is a teacher. He lives in the country and keeps bees. He is keen to teach ENT to his juniors and other NHS staff.
His interests include skiing and country sports.
