Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Mark Foster at Spire include:
Clinical Podiatry – routine Chiropody, Wound Care and Minor Surgery for the treatment of ingrowing toenails under local anaesthetic. Biomechanics, Podiatric Acupuncture, Joint Mobilisation of the Lower Limb and Bowen Therapy
After graduating from Birmingham School of Podiatry in 2000 with First Class Honours I immediately began building my private practice with an accent upon Biomechanics but still sticking with the core principles of Clinical Podiatry – routine Chiropody, Wound Care and Minor Surgery for the treatment of ingrowing toenails under local anaesthetic.
Along the way, I worked in the NHS as “Chief 3” Podiatrist in charge of the Biomechanics Department at Dudley South PCT, (As it was then), for 3 years. Following this, a brief spell in London making Orthotics for skiers at Snow and Rock and during all of this time, I was also teaching Orthotics manufacture back at the School of Podiatry and still keeping my private work going! I was a busy boy.
As time has gone by, I have added to my core skills with Podiatric Acupuncture, Joint Mobilisation of the Lower Limb and Bowen Therapy. I love my job. It provides constant fascination and has taken me on courses all over the place – even as far as Australia! But for me, my reasons for doing this job are the same today as they were when I decided to train as a Podiatrist all those years ago. Being able to go home at the end of a day and know that my patients feel better because of what I have done is all the reason I need.
