I am a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon specialising in adult cardiac surgery at St George’s Hospital in London. I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1995, having obtained bachelor degrees in both Biochemistry and Medicine.

Postgraduate appointments included Hammersmith, St Mary’s, Royal Brompton, London Chest, Harefield, St George’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. I was awarded the doctorate degree of MD from the University of London in 2010 for my thesis entitled "Anticoagulation Following Tissue Aortic Valve Replacement". I was also awarded a Society Scholarship by the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery in Great Britain and Ireland during 2010, in order to attend the Cleveland Clinic in USA.
