After graduating from Cambridge in 1991, I trained in trauma and orthopaedic surgery in Oxford, Cambridge and Norwich. In 2000 I obtained a Master of Surgery (MChir) degree, submitting a thesis on the causes of loosening of joint replacements. In 2002 I spent a year in Adelaide, South Australia, specialising in revision hip surgery, before being appointed as a Consultant in Norwich in 2003.
In 2007 I was awarded the British and American Hip Societies Travelling Fellowship, visiting specialist hip surgery units throughout North America.
My main interest is in hip and knee replacement surgery, including revision operations.
