I am an accredited Consultant Urological Surgeon with a broad range of urological expertise. I trained at Cambridge and Oxford Universities and my core urological training was in the West Midlands. I later trained at the Bristol Urological Institute for final sub-specialist training in Endourology. My NHS practice is at the University Hospital of South Manchester (UHSM) and Trafford and Altrincham General Hospitals. I am one of the leading surgeons treating stone disease in the North West and receives referrals from other consultants throughout the region for his work in this area. I also have an active background in research and is one of the few UK urologists to have achieved a PhD for his research in minimally invasive treatments and prostate cancer, funded by the Medical Research Council. My broad range of expertise is reflected in a wide range of publications in scientific journals and presentations at UK and international meetings. I also contribute to medical textbooks on minimally invasive surgery and stone disease.
I treat patients with all general urological conditions and I have developed specialist interests in minimally invasive treatments, in particular the treatment of kidney stones.
