Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Ian Fyfe at Spire include:
Orthopaedic surgery: Lumbar spine disorders, Sports injury, Spinal surgery, Arthroscopy
Mr Fyfe's practice mirrors his special interests founded on over 35 years of orthopaedic experience. The extensive training provided in his earlier days produced exposure to most aspects of orthopaedics, but particularly degenerative spinal problems, lower limb problems especially knees and sporting injuries. The latter has been fortified by his very many years of being honorary surgeon to the British Olympic Federation, and the running of a sports injury clinic on their behalf.
His own personal involvement in distance running (54 full marathons) and winter sports has reinforced that interest. At present he runs knee, back and general orthopaedic clinics for the NHS at Northwick Park Hospital.

Mr Fyfe has been an active sportsman all his life, concentrating on distance running (54 marathons and many other distance races undertaken) and skiing. What little time is left after a busy NHS practice is dedicated to the rebuilding and rallying of old cars (from vintage to classic).Back to top
