Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Hunter MacLean at Spire include:
Oculoplastic surgery, skin tumour excision and reconstruction, lacrimal surgery (watering eye), ptosis surgery (drooping eyelid), glaucoma treatment.
My clinical practice encompasses all general eye conditions, however I specialise in cataract surgery and plastic surgery around the eyes including tumour and growth removal. I also specialise in surgery for watery eyes and droopy eyelids as well as artificial eyes.
I graduated from Edinburgh University and began my ophthalmic career in the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. I completed my training at Newcastle, including fellowships in plastic surgery there and in Sydney Eye Hospital, Australia.
