Professional profile

I trained and qualified in Nottingham as a Neurosurgeon. I did a double fellow ship - functional neurosurgery in the Walton Centre, Liverpool and then a paediatric fellowship in the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. I worked at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham as a consultant for one year before moving to Leeds in 2013. Since then I have been working in the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust providing services of the highest calibre in functional and paediatric neurosurgery.

I have seen and managed more than 3,000 patients and performed more than 1,000 surgeries.

My infection rate is less than 0.1% and the outcome of my patients is good to excellent.

I am very experienced with neurosurgery management and have a caring and responsible commitment towards my patients and they families. I have a keen interest in research and medical education. I am currently involved in projects in brain tumour management and epilepsy surgery.

I am currently enrolled in the DeMonfort University, Leicester for Post graduate Certificate in Medical Law and Ethics.

Personal Profile

I am married with a very supportive family. We are blessed with one daughter who is 11 years old. I have a passion for neurosurgery and enjoy my work. I build a good rapport with my patients and staff in the working environment. Being a qualified functional and paediatric neurosurgeon, I am caring about children and families with meticulous clinical management. I am obsessive about my clinical commitments to provide the best care to my patients. I spend a lot of time with my patients to understand the problems and deal with them to the best of my ability. I have a keen interest in research and keep in touch with the latest developments in this field. Other than neurosurgery I enjoy listening to music mostly classical and spend time with my family. I practise Yoga to keep myself fit and balanced both physically and mentally
