I graduated from The University of Aberdeen Medical School in 1983. Basic surgical training was undertaken in Glasgow; then I trained under Professor Les Hughes and Professor Robert Mansell in oncological surgery, particularly breast surgery at the University of Wales College of Medicine.
I have been a consultant in Edinburgh since 1996, specialising in all aspects of breast care, including reconstructive surgery.
