Specialises in
After qualifying from Medical School in 1980, I undertook specialist training in Otolaryngology from 1986 to 1997 at the West Midlands Regional Training Programme. During those years, I had specialist training in Otology and was involved in the assessment of both adults and children with profound hearing loss. During my training, I carried out several cochlear implantations and insertion of bone anchored hearing aids. From 1993-1995 I undertook a period of scientific research at Keele University investigating the neurochemistry of sound transmission in the human brain. This work led to the award of an MPhil degree.
In 1995 I spent six months in Case Western Reserve University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohia, USA undertaking specialist training in Rhinoplasty and Cosmetic facial surgery.
I have experience in a range of ENT procedures including insertion of grommets, rhinoplasty, septoplasty, mastoidectomy and endoscopic sinus surgery. I was the first specialist in South East England to pioneer balloon sinuplasty.
I have performed over 500 endoscopic sinus surgery procedures and over 1,000 septoplasties in addition to a large number of rhinoplasties, mastoidectomies and tympanoplasties over a period of 30 years.
I have my own ENT Clinic in Eastbourne and am always pleased to see new patients. My clinic is run by a very friendly and efficient team and they will be glad to discuss how we can help you.
