Mr Andrew Williams
Consultant Plastic Surgeon
MA MB BChir MS MFSTEd FRCSPlast
I am a Consultant Plastic Surgeon working in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Bradford Hospitals NHS Trust. My interests lie in breast reconstruction for congenital or acquired defects and the treatment of skin cancer.
I was educated at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Wakefield and graduated from the University of Cambridge in 1999. I worked in Cambridge during my pre-registration year, before returning to my birthplace where I continued my surgical training in the Yorkshire Deanery.
I have completed recognised Training Interface Group Fellowships in Oncoplastic Breast Reconstruction and Aesthetic Surgery and I am the first plastic surgeon to have completed the Master of Surgery degree in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. I gained my Certificate of Completion of Training and was entered onto the General Medical Council's Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery.
I am actively involved in the training of tomorrow's plastic surgeons and continue to keep up to date with modern and evolving techniques. I have recently been awarded an IWantGreatCare Certificate of Excellence based on patient feedback I have received.
