I also specialise in arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery of the shoulder, elbow and wrist for conditions such as frozen shoulder, tendonitis, rotator cuff tear, tennis elbow and arthritis. I work with a team of highly qualified physiotherapists, providing appropriate treatment, and a team of radiologists who perform the highest standard of diagnostic scans and X-rays.
I qualified from Alexandria Medical School in Egypt and undertook my postgraduate training in the UK. I worked in the Birmingham area and then took a Fellowship in limb reconstruction surgery at the University of Sheffield followed by a Specialist Registrar post in Sheffield where I was trained to a very high standard and was involved in many publications throughout the training. I am now a consultant at Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital.
Following my Fellowship training, as part of my sports injury interest, I took Fellowship training in ligament reconstructions and perform joint replacement surgery. I am also interested in wrist surgery and perform most of my operations as a day case procedure in a minimally invasive or keyhole fashion.
I was selected as one of two European Fellows to take a mini Fellowship in Japan where I learnt many surgical techniques that could be beneficial to patients in Britain.
