I feel strongly about empowering women to make informed decisions about their medical care, whilst maintaining patient safety at the heart of every clinical encounter.
I have been practising obstetrics and gynaecology for 14 years now. I moved from Southern Africa over a decade ago. Having been exposed to a variety of hospitals in London, I undertook research in PCOS and endometrial cancer. I then embarked on a registrar training programme in the Oxford Deanery.
Within the area of gynaecology I offer services in early pregnancy and acute gynaecology, colposcopy for abnormal smears, vaginal surgery for incontinence and prolapse, minimal access techniques for menstrual disorders, pelvic pain and ovarian problems and abdominal surgery for uterine and ovarian disorders.
In keeping with the advances in technology I am developing my skills in robotic-assisted surgery for its proven benefits to patients (e.g. recovery time from hysterectomy).

I come from a large Indian family, am married to a dental surgeon and we have two young sons. I enjoy watching cricket, going to the gym and practising the art of calligraphy. My passion for travelling is helped and hindered by our combined eight siblings being spread across the globe, giving me an excuse for varied holidays and a guilt trip for not spending enough time with any of them.Back to top
