I am a RCOG accredited consultant gynaecologist and RCOG accredited sub specialist in urogynaecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery treating women with prolapse and urinary incontinence. I have specialist experience in laparoscopic (keyhole) prolapse surgery and provide the unique expertise of uterine preserving prolapse surgery using the keyhole approach. I am an opinion leader in the field of urogynaecology (prolapse and urinary incontinence surgery) and am an invited speaker to the major national and international meetings in urogynaecology to share my experience in this field. I take great pride in offering the highest standard of individualised sympathetic patient care in comfortable and professional surroundings. I firmly believe in evidence-based medicine and patient-tailored treatments. I always involve my patients in the decision-making process and value the expertise of the multi-disciplinary team.
I received my doctorate degree at the University of London, and did sub-specialty training in Urogynaecology at St Mary’s Hospital, Manchester, a national and international leading centre in this field. I have an active research program and publish regularly in the leading journals in urogynaecology. I am also a regular reviewer for the leading journals in urogynaecology and urology.
I am an international pioneer in the treatment of prolapse surgery, particularly using keyhole techniques. I have lectured nationally and internationally on Urogynaecology. I have been invited to present to hospitals and societies in the USA, Scotland, Germany and China. I lecture on the latest developments in laparoscopic surgery and vaginal mesh surgery. I am also regularly invited by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the British Society of Urogynaecology to present at their national meetings including the annual scientific update and the surgical masterclass in urogynaecology.
I have performed more than a thousand surgeries for vaginal prolapse and more than five hundred key hole operations to treat prolapse of the womb or the vagina. I have also performed more than 200 keyhole hysterectomies and vaginal hysterectomies. I also have special expertise in complex pelvic surgery including recurrent vaginal prolapse using mesh and have performed more than 250 of such operations.

I lead an active research program in urogynaecology and laparoscopic surgery. I publish widely. Particular research interests include uterine preserving prolapse surgery using the laparoscopic approach, techniques for managing vault, complex and recurrent prolapse using laparoscopic surgery and vaginal meshes and the outcomes of laparoscopic pelvic floor surgery and surgery for urinary incontinence. I have been invited to lecture both nationally and internationally to present my research findings.
