Only sees medical legal cases.
I graduated from Edinburgh Medical School and did my surgical training in Edinburgh, London, Southampton and Toronto.
I worked for two years as a research fellow at Edinburgh University and obtained my doctorate in 1990 with a research thesis entitled: Studies on a New Method of Peripheral Nerve Repair and Regeneration. I have worked as a consultant neurosurgeon in Edinburgh from 1999.
I have a broad neurosurgical practice with subspecialty interests in paediatric neurosurgery, spinal neurosurgery and peripheral nerve surgery. Within my practice I have become expert in the management of tumours, hydrocephalus and congenital abnormalities of the brain and spine as well as the more common conditions such as disc prolapse, degenerative spinal conditions and peripheral nerve compression syndromes.
Please note: Miss Myles cannot add self-funding patients seen privately to her NHS surgical waiting list at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh unless the patient lives in the NHS catchment area for her Unit ie Fife, Borders, Dumfries and Galloway, Lothian and Forth Valley. If patients live out with these areas she can only refer them to their local NHS Neurosurgical Unit for surgery, wherever that may be.
