Miss Joanne Lawrence
Chartered Neurophysiotherapist (Outpatient and Domicilliary)
I have specialised in neurological physiotherapy since 1981 and have extensive experience in treating patients with a wide range of neurological conditions including stroke, acquired brain injury, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's.
My special interests are post-stroke / adult rehabilitation. I see patients from early on in their recovery or following diagnosis up to later stages eg working towards returning to work, driving, sport and on achieving other individual life goals.
I worked in London and Suffolk in inpatient, outpatient and community settings (NHS and in the private sector) before taking up my current post at the Spire London East Hospital.
I am also a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology (ACPIN). Outside of my role at the Spire London East Hospital, I am advisor to the Redbridge branch of Different Strokes, a charity for young stroke survivors who meet regularly for exercise participation and social interaction.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Miss Joanne Lawrence at Spire include:
My spare time is mostly taken up with looking after my home and family. I enjoy spending time with my friends, and also gardening, film and music.
