My practice at the Spire reflects that of my NHS practice at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. I have a broad interest in all aspects of Respiratory Medicine and offer a full service incorporating diagnosis, thorough investigation and review of Respiratory disease backed up with a comprehensive radiology service.
The initial consultation incorporates same day spirometry, electrocardiography, phlebotomy and basic radiology up to and including CT and plain chest X-ray. Where more invasive investigation is warranted, I offer a day case fibre-optic bronchoscopy service bolstered by interventional and higher resolution radiology. The cancer service is supported by multidisciplinary discussion on a weekly basis. There is also access to a multidisciplinary cough MDT which also has representation from our upper GI surgeons and physicians. I also have a close working relationship with our local overarching physiotherapy service.
I am the Clinical Lead Physician for Respiratory Medicine at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals Trust and have set up the pleural service including pleural ultrasound, thoracic pleural catheter placement and a medical thoracoscopy service for the more challenging diagnosis of pleural cancers including mesothelioma. This also gives access to a bespoke lung clinical nurse specialist service.

My social life revolves around my wife and three young children. Having recently bought a family house in Goudhurst, I am now able to apply my interests in garden design and realising my aspiration to cultivate a small orchard. I have travelled widely, but have a particular affinity for the African continent, where I did volunteer work in Zimbabwe for the Medical Air Rescue Service. Prior to medicine, I studied at the University of Sussex achieving a First Class degree in Chemistry, followed by postgraduate work.
