Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Robin Chakraverty at Spire include:
Running Injuries, Back Pain, Sacroiliac Pain, Sciatica, Lower Limb Injuries, Shoulder Pain, Spinal Injections, Epidurals, Nerve Root Blocks, Rhizolysis, Prolotherapy.
Working in elite sport since 2008, I have significant experience in addressing the injury concerns of athletes from a diversity of sports, from endurance runners to footballers, as well as recreational athletes and those of all age ranges with non-sporting musculoskeletal injuries.
My particular interest is in low back injuries and from my experience working at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham (1999-2009), I developed expertise in the assessment and management of low back and pelvic pain including the use of spinal injection procedures.
I presently work as the Lead Performance Doctor for the England Senior Men's football team. From 2008-2016, I worked for British Athletics, where I was the Chief Medical Officer.
