I have conducted clinical research in the area of diastolic heart failure (in particular, interstitial cardiac fibrosis) at the University College of Dublin and the Conway Institute obtaining the diploma of MD in cardiology. This ground breaking research allowed me to win the Irish Journal Medical Science award for the best cardiology publication in Ireland and publish in high impact international and national journals (Circulation and European Journal of Heart Failure) over 50 publications.
I am married to Suzie with four children and I am a very family orientated individual. I love spending time with my family. I love sport in particular football. I have played football at international level (12 caps for the Spanish Junior National Team). I have also played semi-professional football for the junior categories of Real Madrid CF and Real Betis CF. I like to run and keep fit.Back to top
