Dr Rama Vancheeswaran

I have been a consultant from 2006 with expertise in all respiratory conditions including cough, airways disease ie COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, bronchiolitis, sleep disorders (insomnia, obstructive sleep apnoea and central disorders), interstitial lung disease, infection, smoking, lung cancer and pulmonary embolic disease.

I trained at various London teaching hospitals including the Brompton, St Mary's, Hammersmith with my MSc from Brunel University in Immunology and a PhD from the Royal Free/Brompton and UCL in the Immunopathogenesis of Scleroderma and Fibrosing Alveolitis.

I provide outpatient and inpatient services for patients with all the conditions noted above and general medicine. I provide experiences, friendly, high-quality, patient centred complex care in a patient orientated fashion. I am a patient ambassador for the British Lung Foundation where communication and patient care is paramount to all consultations. I also provide interventional procedures if needed including pleural procedures and bronchoscopy. I have outstanding patient satisfaction survey scores collected over my 10 year consultant career.
