Dr Peter Tsang
MB ChB, FRCP
I have been a Consultant Physician since 1996 and was originally appointed as a Geriatrician. Since 2000, I have been involved in acute medicine of all ages receiving unselected admissions through the Acute Assessment Unit and from GP colleagues. I have continued on this path ever since.
I was College Tutor in Tunbridge Wells between 2005 and 2007, being involved with the educational training of junior doctors and representing the Trust at Deanery meetings at a time of drastic changes in junior doctors training (MTAS).
I was appointed in 2007 as Clinical Director in Medicine overseeing both the Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone sites. Since 2009, I have been the Clinical Director for Acute Medicine at Tunbridge Wells and have been involved in the design of the new PFI hospital at Pembury as well as driving the changes required to operate a new model of care in medicine when services were transferred from Kent and Sussex last September.
I continue to be an active clinician and operate at the sharp end of acute medicine, participating in the on call rota as well as contributing to all aspects of management of older patients in the Trust.
