Dr Mamutse graduated in medicine at the University of Zimbabwe in 1993 and undertook postgraduate training in internal medicine in Zimbabwe until 1999. He researched into genetic associations of multiple sclerosis at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire and Keele University, Stoke-on-Trent, before completing neurology training in the West Midlands. He has continued to be involved in clinical trials in multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease.
A large portion of his practice involves diagnosing and treating patients with a wide array of neurological conditions including, but not limited to, multiple sclerosis, headache, Parkinson's disease and epilepsy.
