Since 2001 I have been a Consultant in the Edinburgh Cancer Centre, specialising in chemotherapy and radiotherapy for breast cancer patients, radiotherapy for lymphoma patients and delivering the radiotherapy for children who have paediatric cancer, in the east of Scotland. My main NHS breast cancer practice is at St John's Hospital, Livingston, although I also contribute to the Edinburgh Breast Unit.

Further oncology training was gained at the Northern Centre for Cancer Treatment in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and I was a lecturer in Glasgow at the Beatson Oncology Centre. My first consultant post was in Glasgow specialising in breast cancer.
