Respiratory medicine: Lung cancer, Chest medicine
I am a Consultant Respiratory Physician at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in the School of Clinical and Experimental Medicine at the University of Birmingham Medical School. I trained in respiratory medicine in Bristol and spent 12 months as Clinical and Research Fellow in Toronto, Canada. As part of this fellowship I worked as a Lung Transplant fellow in the busiest transplant unit in North America.
I currently care for inpatients and outpatients with the full range of respiratory conditions and also have specialist interests in cystic fibrosis (CF), bronchiectasis, lung cancer and COPD. I work as one of the three consultant physicians in a large multidisciplinary team and I am research lead at the West Midlands Adult CF Centre at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital. I provide the endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) service at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust and am clinical lead for bronchoscopy and pleural disease.
I treat a number of respiratory conditions including lung cancer, asthma, chest medicine.

I live in Leamington Spa with my wife and two young children. I play golf in my spare time, with a handicap of 16 and am a member of a local golf club. I am also a keen amateur artist and am trustee of a cystic fibrosis charity.Back to top
