Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Douglas Gee at Spire include:
I strive to take a holistic view of patients with mental health problems. I have an appreciation of the often hidden impact of mental health difficulties on day to day life. I aim to provide recovery focussed, person centred care around the needs of the individual with consideration to the use of medication, the use of psychological treatments and any other interventions that would be of clinical benefit.
I have worked previously as a medical director for an NHS Foundation Trust but stepped down from this role in January 2016 and returned to full time clinical practice working as an in-patient consultant psychiatrist.
I have also undertaken medico legal work in both civil and criminal proceedings since 1998 and am happy to take instructions for medico legal reports
Although my main NHS job is the Medical Director of the trust I continue to practice clinically within a community team as well as clinical on call duties.
Aside from clinical duties I have extensive experience in undertaking external investigations of other health organisations. I have also undertaken medicolegal work in both civil and criminal proceedings since 1998 and are happy to take instructions for medicolegal reports.
