Professional profile:

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Wirral NHS Trust. I was appointed in 1994 and did overseas fellowships in Melbourne, Australia and Seattle, USA. My main specialist interest is in surgery of the knee.

I perform large numbers of knee replacements, both primary and revision.  In 2010 I was voted by my peers as one of the top ten UK knee arthroplasty surgeons. I also do large numbers of knee arthroscopies and ligament reconstructions.

I have served on the Executive of BASK (British Association for Surgery of the Knee) since 2006. I review papers for the Knee Journal and serve on the Professional Practice Committee of the British Orthopaedic Association.

I also have a medico-legal practice and, as well as doing medical reports for personal injury claims, I have a significant medical negligence practice.
