    Professional profile:

    My practice encompasses all adult urology with a particular emphasis on urinary tract stones.  A large percentage of my work is also related to urological cancer. 

    I performed both endoscopic and open urological surgery. I act as an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons MRCS examinations.

    Personal profile:

    I was appointed as a consultant urologist to Wirral Hospital NHS Trust in 1997 and work at Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge Hospitals. My undergraduate training was at the Middlesex Hospital Medical School and I qualified in 1978. 

    I subsequently trained as a surgeon in the Army, being accredited as a consultant general surgeon in 1991 and as a consultant urologist in 1994. I then worked as the consultant urologist to the Army until leaving the services in 1997 to take up my current post.
