I am a reconstructive, corrective, oncoplastic and aesthetic breast surgeon and provide comprehensive breast surgical care for my patients.
I bring in the very latest and innovative and cutting edge technology to cosmetic breast and body surgery. I was the first surgeon in the North West to introduce the Crisalix 3D breast and body assessment for patients seeking cosmetic procedures. I am also in the process of introducing fat banking for breast and body enhancement. The very latest B-lite ultra low weight breast implants will be offered to patients who are seeking large implants but with less weight, these implants are also ideal for patients who have developed droopiness following large breast implants in the past.
I graduated from Mysore University in 1989 and was awarded a master's degree in surgery - postgraduate qualification in surgery by Bangalore University in 1992. I consolidated my surgical training on the higher surgical training programme of the Northern Deanery, Newcastle Upon Tyne. I was one of the first cohort of trainee surgeons in the country to be appointed on the Novel National Breast-Oncoplastic Fellowship in 2002. This was a first of its kind, a unique cross specialty training programme conceived by the British Association of Plastic Surgeons and the British Association of Surgical Oncology and funded directly by the Department of Health. I have also visited several national and international centres of excellence including the division of plastic surgery, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. I have practicing privileges at Spire Liverpool Hospital and also work out of the Linda McCartney Breast Unit.
I constantly update myself by regular active participation in national and international workshops and conferences and offer my patients the very latest evidence-based treatments. I am passionate about my work and tirelessly endeavour to innovate and advance the science and art of breast-oncoplastic surgery.
I am on the specialist registry of the General Medical Council, and am a member of the Association of Breast Surgeons, British Association of Surgical Oncology, European Society of Surgical Oncology, and the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, UK.
I was appointed to the post of Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital in 2003. I am also an Honorary Senior Lecturer in clinical sciences at the University of Liverpool.
