I qualified at the Royal London Hospital in 1995 and did my basic surgical training in London and South East England. Specialist interests include total hip/knee replacement and further revision procedures. I also have an interest in joint replacement in younger patients. Other interests include infection, recurrent dislocation and periprosthetic fractures.

In 2000 I was appointed to the Registrar rotation in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the Mersey Region. I spent the last two years of my training sub-specialising in hip and knee surgery including one year as a fellow at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

I perform around 200 joint replacements a year. My National Joint Register, (NJR) data shows five year revision rates for hip and knee surgery are both below the national average.
