Keyhole Cancer Appeal Donation

24 February 2016

Andrea Fryatt, ward clerk at Southend’s Spire Wellesley private hospital, was delighted to make a donation to the Keyhole Cancer Appeal at Southend University Hospital after recently undergoing surgery for the removal of a kidney.

Andrea, who has worked at the Wellesley for seven years and who also manages the Christmas savings club at the Spire hospital, handed over a cheque to consultant urologists Mr Sampi Mehta and Mr Peter Pietrzak for £125, which was earned from the savings club interest.

The Keyhole Cancer Appeal aims to raise £600,000 for the provision of a new state-of-the-art laparoscopic (keyhole surgery) theatre suite at Southend University Hospital, which will benefit hundreds of Southend patients each year.
