Mr Nanu is a hip and knee replacement and revision surgeon. He trained in the North East of England and Liverpool where he completed a Masters degree in Orthopaedic Surgery.
He leads the pelvic and acetabular reconstruction service in Sunderland, and provides a surgical service for the management of this complex traumatic injury.
Mr nanu's special interests are in hip replacement and hip resurfacing procedures in the young. The youngest patient he has with a hip replacement was 11 and the oldest 99. He deals with failed hip replacements and their removal and reconstruction.
He has contributed to several publications and is a chapter author of the Oxford Textbook of Orthopaedics (2011 edition).
Mr Nanu runs his private practice from Spire Washington Hospital and is also available for choose and book appointments. He holds his out-patient clinics on Friday afternoons.
