Mr Alistair Henderson

Mr Henderson is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.  He has a particular interest in the assessment and treatment of prostate cancer and was awarded a PhD in the assessment of outcomes following prostate cancer treatment.  He has spent much of his career helping men with the process of diagnosis or treatment for prostate cancer and offers counselling regarding the risk of prostate cancer and interpretation of PSA results.

He has completed training in London and Seattle, America, and has been involved in the research and development of advanced diagnostic techniques for prostate cancer including template biopsy.  He is skilled in modern treatments for the disease including brachytherapy, cryotherapy and robotic surgery as well as traditional surgical approaches.  He also offers advice and treatment for benign prostate problems and other men’s health issues such as testicular and erectile problems.
