Spire Sussex Hospital is proud to announce a one-year sponsorship of the 30th Hastings Half Marathon, which will take place on Sunday, 23 March, 2014.
Spire Sussex Hospital has had a close relationship with The Hastings Lion Club and supported drink stations for the runners in the previous years. The title sponsorship of the 30th Hastings Half Marathon is part of Spire Sussex Hospital’s ongoing commitment and dedication to promoting healthy lifestyles.
As the main sponsor, Spire Sussex Hospital will primarily fund the production of 5000 race numbers, the winners’ prizes as well as travelling and accommodation for elite athletes.
Eric Hardwick, Race Director from The Hastings Lions Club, welcomed the new collaboration:
“The organisers of the Hastings Half Marathon, The Hastings Lions Club, are delighted to welcome Spire Sussex Hospital as The Main Sponsor of the 30th Half Marathon on Sunday 23 March 2014”.
“We are particularly pleased to be associated with a company that looks after all our health needs and will bring benefits to all entrants. We believe it will enable the event to attract a good entry of runners and raise even greater amounts of money for good causes”.
Linda Dineen, Hospital Director at Spire Sussex Hospital, said:
“We are very proud to be the main sponsor of the 30th Hastings Half Marathon. We are passionate about looking after people and it has been our ambition to support such an inspirational event which continues to break records for charity fundraising”.
The official sponsorship announcement was held at Spire Sussex Hospital on Tuesday 3rd September 2013. The event was attended by Race Director Eric Hardwick, The Mayor of Hastings Cl. Alan Roberts, President of Hastings Lions Club Val Vint and past winners of The Hastings Half Marathon.
