Mr Bobby Anand is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising exclusively in knee surgery. He has a particular interest in sports knee injuries, anterior knee pain and optimising return to sport. He was educated in Harrow. He studied Medicine at University College London and graduated in 2002. In addition to his medical degree, he completed a degree (BSc) in Orthopaedic Science at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. His specialist orthopaedic training was in Cambridge and London. He was made a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2011 and obtained his specialist CCT in 2013.
Mr Anand is enthusiastic about training and teaching. He plays an active role in training junior doctors including GP trainees and future orthopaedic surgeons. In addition, he teaches on international courses around the world training established consultants and senior trainees on sports knee surgery and joint replacement surgery. Mr Anand is honoured to be one of only a few surgeons from the UK to be elected to sit on the committees for the European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA).
Outside work, he is married with one young daughter. He spends his free time with his family, travelling or playing football.
