Background Information
Professional profile:

Dr Mailli graduated from the 3rd Charle’s Medical University of Prague in 2000.
As postgraduate doctor, she followed medical rotations in internal medicine, cardiology and surgery before completing a year’s training at the Renal Dialysis Unit of the Hospital of Crete (Greece) as Senior House officer.
She then moved on to Clinical Radiology and completed her specialist training at the University Hospital of Athens “Attikon” (2010).

After working for over a year as a Radiology Consultant at the University Hospital of Athens she moved to Guy’s and Thomas’ hospital in London to do her Interventional Radiology fellowship (2013).
Since 2013 she is working as an Interventional Radiology Consultant at St George’s Hospital in London.

Throughout her training Dr Mailli demonstrated academic interest that prompted her to follow a 2yr Master degree in interventional radiology (grant awarded by the University of Athens) (2009).
She also gained a PhD title by the Medical University of Athens upon completion of her 4yr research project on “Vertebroplasty” (2010) that was awarded as “excellent”.
As a Radiology Consultant she undertook an Endovascular research-funded project with Onasis Institution and St George’s hospital that was presented gaining her the MSc title.
She has been invited as speaker and hands on instructor at International conferences. Dr Mailli is throughout her carrier research active, publishing and presenting her work. Currently she is co-investigator in three large multicenter trials on peripheral arterial arterial disease and fibroids.

Dr Mailli is very passionate for her work as an interventional radiologist and strives in achieving best results for her patients. Throughout her career she has followed the most reputable and well recognised specialists in her field and learned from their expertise. Early in her career she focused on the innovative fields of interventional radiology, giving her the opportunity to compete and achieve to obtain founded grants as well as her Master, MSc and PhD title.

Although she is a trainer herself in national and international level, she has never stopped learning. Endovascular  treatment of variable pathologies (varicose veins, arterial and venous disease, vascular malformations etc) and embolisation procedures (for pelvic congestion, varicocele, uterine fibroid etc) are some of the areas of great interest given recent treatment advancements.

Dr Mailli is also proud to be a Senior Honorary Lecturer at St George's Medical University and the lead of Radiology teaching.

Given her trauma experience she is the nominated lead of interventional radiology Major Trauma for St George's Hospital.

Personal profile:

I pretty much enjoy any sort of physical activity from hiking, running, diving to my krav maga training. Combining these activities with countryside or island scenery would be my ideal scenario. I am very lucky to have a partner in life sharing the same interests, making everything more joyful. Apart from doing activities, I also enjoy my quiet reading, theatre and cinemas. Although cooking is not my strongest asset, I do love good food.
