I am a Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician and a Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist (RCOG) accredited subspecialist in reproductive medicine and surgery. After graduating in Medicine (with University Gold Medals and distinction), I completed postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London and have 20 years of clinical experience of working in my specialty.

My subspecialist training in reproductive medicine and surgery involved three years of additional extensive training in the management of infertility, assisted reproduction treatments (IVF and ICSI), male infertility, reproductive endocrinology, and reproductive surgery. I am a Royal College of Gynaecologist accredited laparoscopic (keyhole) and hysteroscopic surgeon and hold RCOG and BFS certifications to perform gynaecology and obstetrics ultrasound scans. Moreover, I am one the few British menopause accredited specialists in Essex to manage menopause, hormone replacement therapy and hormone imbalance.

With my strong background of training and clinical expertise, I ensure a comprehensive, personalised and thorough approach to manage general gynaecology problems, male and female infertility. I am an expert in managing polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), menopausal symptoms, recurrent miscarriages, menstrual irregularities (infrequent or heavy painful periods), endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain and fibroids uterus.

I am able to provide surgical management of complex benign gynaecology conditions like endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, and pelvic adhesions. I am an expert in investigating and managing heavy menstrual bleeding by using various medicines (hormonal/non hormonal), Mirena coil, endometrial ablation or laparoscopic hysterectomy as a last resort. I perform laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for removal of ovarian cysts, pelvic adhesions, endometriosis, and hysteroscopic surgery for the removal of polyps, resection of fibroids and uterine septum. I also perform abdominal and vaginal hysterectomies and surgery for the correction of utero-vaginal prolapse.

I provide expert care to couples finding it difficult to conceive a baby either due to male or female causes. I manage male fertility problems (low sperm count or other sperm problems) and female infertility (PCOS, anovulation, tubal blockage, fibroids uterus and endometriosis). As an RCOG certified specialist in reproductive surgery, I am an expert in surgically repairing and reopening of the blocked fallopian tubes to help to achieve a natural conception.

I hold a Masters Degree in Reproduction and Development with Distinction from Bristol University. My research in gynaecology and reproductive medicine led to several international presentations and publications in reputable journals. I have an interest in research and training and continue to undertake research in my area of specialty. I am actively involved in training at regional level through Health Education East of England and at national level with the Royal College of Obstetricians Gynaecologists and the British Fertility Society. My active involvement in research and training ensures that my patients receive the most up-to-date care.
