Specialises in

I am an NHS Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive, Aesthetic and Head and Neck Surgeon based in Durham. Having graduated from medical school with Distinction, I completed a decade of plastic surgery training both nationally and internationally; which culminated in the award of the prestigious Ian McGregor Gold Medal for outstanding performance in my FRCS(Plast) consultant examination in 2018.

I completed specialist, and highly sought-after, fellowships in cancer surgery, reconstruction and cosmetic surgery, both in the UK and internationally, before returning to the North East as a consultant.

I specialise in aesthetic surgery and non-surgical aesthetic treatments including facelift, necklift, pinnaplasty, brow lift, blepharoplasty, breast surgery (augmentation, reduction and uplift, gynaecomastia), body contouring surgery (abdominoplasty, arm lift, thigh lift, body lift, liposuction, fat transfer), anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers. I have completed extensive training in all these areas and completed the acclaimed British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons Aesthetic Fellowship in London and the North East.

I strive to provide exemplary patient care and natural looking results for my patients.

Working in the field of Plastic and Aesthetic surgery for more than 15 year, I have built a surgical logbook of over 8,000 operations. Currently between my NHS and private practices, over 4,200 patients have operations under my care annually.

I am currently Educational Lead for the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for the County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust. I am a member of the North East Regional Surgical Training Committee (STC) and I am Course Director of the International North East Flap course.

In addition to my clinical work I am an Associate Lecturer at Newcastle University Medical School and am the Honorary Treasurer of the Old Medonians Hockey Club.

I am a faculty member of several national/international plastic surgery courses and regularly provide teaching to regional and national plastic surgery trainees. I am Lead Clinical Supervisor for medical student education within my NHS Trust and interview/exam trainees at all stages of their medical careers.

I have a considerable number of published papers in the evidence-based medical literature on a diverse range of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic topics. I am a journal and book reviewer for PMFA and an article reviewer for JPRAS.
