I have been a Consultant Gynaecological Surgeon with a special interest in gynaecological cancer treatment for nearly 20 years. I specialise in the screening, diagnosis and surgical treatment of gynaecological cancer and related conditions including abnormal smears, colposcopy, pelvic masses (ovarian cysts, fibroids etc), gynaecological cancer (including ovarian, uterine, cervix, and vulval cancer) and premalignant conditions of the cervix and vulva. In addition heavy / irregular periods.

I specialise in general gynaecological surgery and gynaecological cancer surgery ranging from minimal access (laparoscopic) surgery as well as fertility preserving surgery and laparoscopic hysterectomy.

I have performed close to 1,000 laparoscopic procedures, many advanced procedures and over 1,000 open advanced surgical procedures. I have performed over 2,000 colposcopies (including vulvoscopies and treatments) for abnormal smears and premalignant conditions. I have also performed over 1,000 hysteroscopies.

I have been the lead for the Gynaecological Cancer Service for West Kent for several years. I have in the past chaired the Kent Gynaecological Cancer meetings, I have held the position of Cancer Lead for the Kent Oncology Centre.

I am also a Trainer for MRCOG Gynaecological Cancer Surgery Fellowship for the Kent Oncology Centre joint with Surrey Gynaecological Cancer Centre (Guildford Hospital). I have been a lecturer on numerous courses for gynaecological surgery, minimal access hands-on courses (I am the current organiser for the Kent Oncology Centre) and an examiner for the MRCOG.

I have lectured on several national as well as international meetings.
