I am an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising exclusively in knee surgery. I have a particular interest in sports knee injuries, anterior knee pain and optimising return to sport. I have comprehensive specialist fellowship training in all aspects of knee surgery. Having trained under some of the leading knee surgeons in the world, I have acquired considerable knowledge in treating high demand elite athletes. I apply these principles to all the patients I treat. My passion within knee surgery is in sports injuries and patella instability.

I was educated in Harrow. I studied Medicine at University College London, graduating in 2002. In addition to my medical degree, I completed a degree (BSc) in Orthopaedic Science at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. My specialist orthopaedic training was in Cambridge and London. I was made a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2011 and obtained my specialist CCT in 2013.

I have completed four knee fellowships including six months in Melbourne, Australia with Prof J Feller. My other fellowships were in top centres in Italy, Bristol and Bournemouth. In 2013 I was awarded the prestigious European Arthroscopy Travelling Fellowship where I travelled around Europe visiting the top centres and presenting my research.

I am enthusiastic about training and teaching. I play an active role in training junior doctors including GP trainees and future orthopaedic surgeons. In addition, I teach on international courses around the world, training established consultants and senior trainees on sports knee surgery and joint replacement surgery. I am honoured to be one of only a few surgeons from the UK to be elected to sit on the committees for the European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA).

My research interests are focussed around getting patients back to sport or high level function after knee surgery.
