I am an experienced consultant ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeon. I have a specialist interest and sub specialty training in eyelid surgery, including upper and lower eyelid (blepharoplasty surgery), orbital (eye socket) and lacrimal (tear duct) surgery. I also practice facial aesthetics for non-surgical facial and eye rejuvenation. And consult on all aspects of general ophthalmology.

I am diligent, I communicate clearly, and I always prioritise patient care and concerns. I am committed to delivering exemplary patient outcomes in a caring, respectful and approachable manner.

I graduated in medicine and surgery from the University of Dundee and underwent training in Ophthalmology within the Cambridge deanery. After completion of training, I undertook an eclectic triad of fellowship training with world leaders in oculoplastic, orbital and lacrimal surgery at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and the Academic Medical Centre in Amsterdam. I also underwent training in non surgical cosmetic procedures for facial rejuvenation and harmonisation including anti wrinkle injections and skin injectables.

I began my career in ophthalmology in 2009. I am a consultant at University Hospital Southampton and Lymington New Forest Hospital, specialising in eyelid, lacrimal (tear duct), orbital (eye socket) surgery, in children and adults and have been in this post since 2019.

I am a fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologist (FRCOphth), a fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmologist (FEBO), and a member of the British Oculoplastic Surgical Society (BOPSS). I have been published widely in peer-reviewed medical literature and presented at national and international conferences. I regularly review academic and research articles for the leading journals.

I am also involved in the supervision of ophthalmology specialist trainees and fellows, both locally, and nationally. And have facilitated in the running of national courses for doctors and allied healthcare professionals.

I have an ongoing interest in international ophthalmology and non-governmental organisations in developing nations, working as an associate staff doctor in local and international projects with Orbis International Flying Eye Hospital.
