After gaining general medical experience in West Midlands, gained MRCP from Royal College of Physicians, London, followed by Clinical Oncology training at various cancer centers across Wessex region before taking up my post as consultant Clinical Oncology at University Hospital of Southampton. Also did post graduate Diploma in Oncology from Institute of Cancer Research, ICR, London. Gained Proton Fellowship from University of Pennsylvania, U Penn, United States.
Consultant Clinical Oncology specialising in cancers arising from Head&Neck, Colo-rectal (Bowel) sites and complex recurrent thyroid cancers requiring Radiotherapy after Radio-Iodine treatments.
Specialist in delivering modern and complex Radiotherapy techniques including VMAT, IMRT and Proton treatments along with systemic treatments including chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
Expertise in complex and recurrent rectal cancers and cancers arising from head and neck site including SABR (high precision radiotherapy) to pelvic nodal recurrences.
IOERT (Intra Operative Electron RadioTherapy) to complex pelvic colorectal cancers which has proven reducing cancer relapse locally at surgically worrying margins.
Have wealth of experience by treating several hundreds of patients to date with Head and Neck cancers, colorectal cancers with both Radiotherapy, chemotherapy and Immunotherapy.
Consultations available for organ preserving strategies for lower rectal cancer for patients who have difficulty in managing permanent stoma bag.
Active clinical and educational supervisor involved in teaching and training Clinical Oncology trainees across Wessex region.
