I have been a consultant ENT surgeon since 2010. I am an expert in managing disorders of the ears and hearing including tumours related to the inner ear such as acoustic neuromas, glomus tumours, and other malignant tumours.

I specialise in ear related disease including hearing loss, tinnitus and vertigo. I have expertise in the use and placement of hearing implants.

I have performed over 1,000 major ear operations including ear drum repair, mastoid surgery for chronic ear disease and cholesteatoma, Cochlear implants and bone anchored and bone conducting hearing implants.

I have performed over 200 skull base operations for acoustic neuroma, skull base paragangliomas, temporal bone cancer and CSF leaks. I have performed over 100 stapedectomy/stapedotomy operations for otosclerosis.

I am also clinical research network lead for the West Midlands Region, secretary and council member for the Otology section of the Royal Society of Medicine, council member of the British Society of Otology, as well as being an honorary senior clinical lecturer at the University of Birmingham. I am a regular reviewer for Clinical Otolaryngology, Cochlear Implants International and the Journal of Laryngology and Otology.
