I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in Hip and Knee Surgery. My interests are focused around osteoarthritis of the hip and knee, offering surgical options from joint preservation in early arthritis, through to hip and knee replacement and revision (re-do) of previous replacements.

I was born and bred on the Wirral, I undertook my medical and Orthopaedic training in Liverpool. Subsequently I was awarded the first Biennial International Allan Gross Fellowship Award in 2014 and following that, completed my fellowship training at the world renowned Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Canada under the tutorship of Dr Alan Gross and Dr David Backstein. There I developed my interest in joint preservation surgery for early osteoarthritis, partial and total knee replacement, hip replacement and revision surgery for re-do hip and knee replacements.

I was appointed at Wirral University Teaching Hospital in 2016, with specific interest in lower limb trauma and hip and knee surgery. My clinical practice encompasses all aspects of hip and knee arthritis, including joint preservation surgery for early arthritis of the knee, including High Tibial Osteotomies or Distal Varus Femoral Osteotomies. I also perform partial and total knee arthroplasties, and total hip replacement for more advanced arthritis.

I have an interest in research and improving survivorship in hip and knee replacement surgery. I have published multiple papers in scientific journals, and presented my work in Europe, North America and the Far East.
