Specialises in

I am an incredibly passionate, dynamic, conscientious and well experienced GP, who has had opportunities to work in both private and NHS sectors of General Practice. I qualified in medicine with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Barts and The London, after attaining a First class honours in Molecular Therapeutics from William Harvey Institute at Queen Mary University, London. Subsequently, I went on to completing my foundation/junior doctor training in the highly reputable London and Oxford Deaneries. During this period, I gained a plethora of valuable skills as I completed clinical rotations in a wide range of specialities, such as Obstetrics and gynaecology, Respiratory Medicine, General and Colorectal Surgery, Cardiology, General Medicine and Endocrinology. This was followed by completing my GP training in the Oxford Deanery, qualifying as a GP in early 2015. Since then I have completed postgraduate qualifications in MRCGP, DRCOG, DFSRH and more recently Dip IBLM/BSLM.

I am keen to see patients with all manner of medical problems. I thoroughly enjoy the variety of work and challenges offered in primary care. I am passionate in delivering holistic, high standard, individualised and comprehensive care to my patients. I have a specialist interest in Women’s Health, Family Planning and Lifestyle Medicine and I have gained postgraduate qualifications in these fields as mentioned above. I offer cervical screening (smears), contraception advice, menopause management and wellness screening. I apply evidence-based lifestyle medicine to prevent, treat or modify chronic disease as well as promoting good health and well-being in all age groups.

Furthermore, I have acquired broad knowledge and experience in being able to deal with complex and chronic medical conditions including heart disease, diabetes, respiratory, gastrointestinal and musculoskeletal disorders. I also have ample experience in managing children's health and mental health.

I am an undergraduate GP tutor for medical students at UCL.

I have always believed that being able to communicate strongly, clearly and empathetically with patients is one of the absolute fundamentals in leading to an overall successful consultation. I feel I am a strong communicator and over the years I have become fluent in other languages such as Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi in order to enable me to communicate effectively with patients for whom English is not their first language.
